CLOs and Their Role Within a Private Credit Platform »
The rise of CLOs as a primary lender to the leveraged loan market has largely mirrored the broader rise of private credit generally, particularly in the last decade. Although certain market observers over the years have invariably warned of the perceived perils of CLOs, they have proven to be a resilient product through various economic cycles (including, notably, the 2020 recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic). CLO management has become an important facet of multi-strategy focused credit platforms. This discussion will focus on the benefits of CLO management within a broader credit platform and what the future might hold for what is one of the hottest investment products of 2021.
